Snowdonia
A bucket list feels incomplete without the highest peak in the UK. Snowdonia is a must-visit for expats, especially those who enjoy long walks and the views of mountain ranges. It contains all 15 mountains in Wales over 3000 feet high, including the country’s highest, Snowdon, which is 3,560 ft tall. The national park has an area of 823 square miles (2,130 km2), and covers most of central and southern Gwynedd, so you’ll be sure to have a long trek ahead of you where you’ll have a ton of fun.
St Michael’s Mount
Visiting this unique landmark is great, as it offers something completely different from everything else. The mount is a rocky island with a medieval church and castle placed upon it, making for a beautiful sight. You might think that you can see something like this anywhere, but there’s something really special about this. When the tide is in, the mount appears to be an island that is a boat trip away but when the tide goes out, a walkway appears for visitors to use to get to the mount.
